MOST RECENT POLL: May is the month in which the church's two websites accumulated 2 million hits for 2009.  Of the respondents to the question, 33.3% voted correctly.  The other tallies: 37.8% voted April, 15.6% March, 8.9% June and 4.4% February.


All members of Riverbend’s College/Metro group are invited to a Summer Soiree (swar-AA) on Sunday, July 12, at 5 p.m. This event, provided by Persevering Saints (Riverbend’s senior adults), will be in Fellowship Hall. On the agenda: home-cooked food, inter-active fellowship and a couple of fun events.


Several supplies need to be replenished for Riverbend’s quarterly Free Auto Safety Clinic. If you can help, call Marvin Foster at 756-7398: brake fluid, motor oil, power steering fluid, anti-freeze, transmission fluid and windshield washer fluid.

All boys and girls who this spring have completed grades 3-4-5 are eligible to participate in the free “Give Me the Rock” Basketball Camp at Riverbend during July 9-11. Registration is under way Sundays and Wednesdays in the Bookcart lobby.


Riverbend's youth need work to pay for Summer Camp expenses, so if you need--around your home or business--yard work, baby-sitting, cleaning, pet-setting, etc., please contact Pastor Michael Harsch (672-1821 or e-mail).

An intensive, dig-deep study of some of the Bible's most profound passages is now the focus of Dr. R.A. Hargrave's Sunday morning messages at Riverbend.

The series is called Examining Scripture's Greatest Texts.

These sermons are being preached every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. during Riverbend's main worship service.

In it, he is examining the principles and practices of various cults and false-teaching groups. exposing their heresies based on Scripture.
