WOG

A Biblical Vision of Redeemed Womanhood
Redeemed womanhood is that unique and distinct manner of life to which God, in His Son, Jesus Christ, has called, compelled, and empowered all true Christian women to live. It is the life which is befitting of their creation design as it is clearly revealed to them, by God, in His Word, the Bible.

It is that life which all genuine and authentic Christian women, whether married or single, young or old, and regardless of life's circumstances are to humbly and faithfully align their heart and soul with, so that they may give a glad and happy visible expression of it, so the Word of God may not be slandered.

It is the life they are to soberly and intentionally live-out for the glory of God, for the honor of His Son, Jesus Christ, to the good of the Lord's Church, the eternal benefit of their posterity, and as a witness and a warning to those who do not know and love Christ are perishing in their sins.

Ministry Opportunities

Women of Grace Ministry Teams
The Women of Grace ministry desires to disciple women to value their God-given spiritual gifts and seeks to provide women with opportunities in meaningful service of these gifts to minister to and encourage the body of believers.   Following is a brief description of the different WOG Ministry Teams and ways you may become involved.

Registration Team
The Registration Team assists the Women of Grace Council by handling sign ups and ticket sales for upcoming ministry events.  Team members must be available to work the registration table on Sundays or Wednesdays prior to or following the Worship services.

Purchasing Team
The Purchasing Team assists the Women of Grace Council and Ministry Team Leaders in making wise purchases for Women of Grace events.

Special Event Team
The Special Event team assists the Women of Grace Council in planning, scheduling and implementing all WOG events and select RCC events such as Bible studies, retreats, workshops, banquets and brunches. Specific ministry opportunities include decorating, food service, set up and clean up.  This ministry team is always in need of hospitable, enthusiastic women to serve and minister.

Newsletter Team
The Newsletter Team assists the Women of Grace Council in publishing the monthly Newsletter, “By Design”.   The purpose of the newsletter is to offer Biblical encouragement, informational updates on upcoming WOG ministries and a “Getting To Know You” article designed to help build relationships with our sisters in the Lord here at Riverbend Community Church.

Publicity Team
The Publicity Team assists the Women of Grace Council in creating and overseeing publicity and informational media in order to effectively communicate upcoming Women of Grace events, news, and ministry opportunities to the women of Riverbend Community Church.

Great Expectations Team
Great Expectations seeks to pair expectant mothers of Riverbend Community Church with a Godly, nurturing woman, called an Encourager. Each Encourager’s ministry to the expectant mother includes daily prayer; regular, compassionate, caring communication; and practical acts of service in meeting needs that arise.   This special relationship lasts throughout pregnancy and into the mother’s first months with her new child.

Encouragement Team
The Encouragement Team assists Women of Grace in providing intentional opportunities for women of Riverbend Community Church to reach out to women who are new members and to women who are visiting in order to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  The goals of this ministry are to help the visitor and new member feel welcome at the Women of Grace Events and to facilitate the process of integrating the new member into the fellowship here at Riverbend Community Church.

Prayer Team
The Prayer Team is a ministry of Women of Grace that purposes to engage women in a time of corporate, dedicated prayer.   This team meets for prayer on the first Friday of each month during “Stand in the Gap” on the Riverbend Community Church campus.  The Prayer Team also engages in corporate prayer time prior to Women of Grace events.
