Bible Fellowship Groups

Bible Fellowship Groups, also known as BFG's, are provided for ages 2 yrs. old through 5th grade.  BFG's are offered at both 9:00 and 10:30.  These are small group classes based upon age/grade.  Each class has their own curriculum they study througout the year.  Ideally, children will attend BFG's the same hour as their parents.  Of course, preschool ages and K-2nd are encouraged to stay for both hours as the format is different.

Preschool (ages 2-5) 

Currently, our preschool classes are going through the Children Desiring God curriculum called He Established a Testimony and He Has Spoken By His Son.  He Established a Testimony explores God's greatness by noting key themes found chronologically thoughout the Old Testament.  He Has Spoken By His Son explores the greatness of God in Christ by noting key themes found chronologically thoughout the New Testament.  The children learn the same story at both hours but will find each class has a different format.  While one hour may use the traditional story time format, the next hour will use the same story but incorporate hands-on activities in order to reinforce the Biblical lesson.  This may include puppet shows, nature walks, or a table activity.  Our goal is that at the end of the morning, your child has had in-depth teaching and repetition of Biblical stories and lessons and can then share with their parents what they have learned.

Elementary (K-5th grades)

Kindergarten through 5th grade also use the Children Desiring God curriculum.  This curriculum was chosen over  many others primarily because of the God-centeredness of each and every lesson.  Every lesson for every age group centers on the truth the Bible is a book first and foremost about God.  The other characters in the Bible merely point to God.  This curriculum attempts to exalt God - to show Him as a great and almighty God. 

Kindergarten -      Jesus, What a Savior!

Second Grade -   Faithful To All His Promises
Third Grade -       How Majestic Is Your Name
Fourth Grade -     Firm Foundations (Published by New Tribe Missions)
Fifth Grade -        My Purpose Will Stand
