About

Nonilo Sanchez has a desire is to plant churches where the Doctrines of Grace are taught from the very beginning. Grace Mobile School of Theology and Ministry (GSTM) and Sola Gratia Theological Seminary exist to teach these glorious doctrines to the whole body of Christ in their country, with a view to begin reaching out to the Muslims with the Gospel.

Nonilo founded Sola Gratia Ministries, which focuses on equipping pastors with the tools for accurately preaching and teaching the Word of God. The GSTM Mobile School provides a solid biblical, theological and ministerial training in any educational and cultural context of the local church in the islands of the Philippines. Nonilo and other teachers travel to various provinces, bringing training right to where the people are. In the last two years, God has raised up Sola Gratia Theological Seminary, where Nonilo concentrates most of his time and ministry, while still overseeing the mobile training of pastors through a team of equipped teachers. Nonilo and his wife, Fely, have four children.

Amiel (pictured in the front of this family photo holding one of his daughters in a pink dress) is Nonilo's son and is fully involved in all aspects of the ministry in the Philippines. He is actively involved in the local church and is active in their local seminary and Bible school. He and his wife, Sarah, have 4 daughters.

About

I am serving as Mission's Director of Sola Gratia Grace Alone International Inc. (the name we need to register as required by our government). As to my calling, it was God's providence all throughout. I was a child out of wedlock, but by the Lord's grace my biological mother's sister, Feliciana, was married to a Christian husband, Nonilo M. Sanchez. As they were both Christians, and desiring to have a child, they took me from my grandmother. They raised me up as their son. Growing up, I experienced the life of a missionary—a life devoted to teaching and preaching the Gospel to the people, a life that is dependent on God, a life where the only joy is to see people coming to the knowledge of truth. Seeing this, it became a growing desire for me to spend my life just serving the Lord in this kind of life.

The Lord in His grace and mercy grows that desire in me. The Lord in His providence raised men of the same passion and brought us together; that is why we have this organization. Together, our only goal is to proclaim the excellencies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Lord is using us to reach other Pastors with no formal seminary training through our Mobile Grace School of Theology. The idea is we go where the students are. The host church will invite us to teach, and it will gather at least ten Pastors. Our experience is we will start with more than ten but along the way some will just give up, but those who continue with us will spread their learnings.

As a result, we are not looking for churches to host, but they inviting us to come. Because of the pandemic, there's a halt in this program. As Pastors are learning, they encourage us to have a seminary so they can send their young people who have desires in serving the Lord. As the Lord directed us, we have now a Seminary with three satelites. One is in the mountainous area of South Cotabato where the tribal people like T'boli, Blaan and others are. The other one is in Luzon, and also one in Tagum City. We were not able to have our full operation this year due to pandemic. Also there are two mission organizations with seminaries that are cooperating with us. Our experience is when people are gripped with the truths of the Scripture, some will experience expulsion from their organization, so the Church Planting Program was born. We will send and support the missionaries as the Lord provides. Our commitment to them is a monthly support enough for them to work full time in the ministry. May the Lord find us faithful to His cause—that His name will be proclaimed and worshipped.
