Take Heed Before It's Too Late

Scripture: Proverbs 7:1–27

A father’s plea opens Proverbs 7: keep, treasure, and cherish the commands of God. Wisdom must not only be known, but loved and written on the heart. There is a reason for this urgency—danger is near. Sin does not appear threatening; it speaks with smooth words and draws the heart in subtly.

Through a vivid illustration, we watch a young man walk the path of folly. What promises pleasure quickly reveals itself as a trap leading to destruction. This warning extends beyond one sin to the whole way of folly.

Turn from it, and see that the way of Christ is better—leading not to death, but to life.
