About

Edier pastors the small church, Iglesia Bautista Bandera en Alto, in Filadelfia, Costa Rica.  The region is a farming community, close to the Pacific Ocean.  Edier and his wife, Niyireth, have a core group of church members who have persevered faithfully through this challenging time of Covid-19 restrictions.  The Gospel is still proclaimed one way or another, with a friend or neighbor here or there.  They are looking forward to a time when they can again meet face-to-face as a church, and hope to baptize more believers by the end of this year.  Edier also hopes to finish his online Master of Divinity through Southern Baptist Seminary soon. Edier and Niyireth have two sons, Emanuel and Moises.  Both boys are growing well spiritually and physically, although academics have fallen behind some because of Covid-19.

About

Francisco is a reformed church planter in an infancy state in Costa Rica. His (along with Edier) goal is to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Riverbend, along with other churches, are working to support and continue to train and equip these men for the work of the ministry there. Francisco and his wife, Carolina, have 3 children and one on the way. The names of their children are Samuel, Keren, Alfred, and Daniela. In addition, Gabriella (Carolina's sister) stays with them, as well. They are a sweet family committed to serving the Lord in His work and ministry.
